Call 3 HVAC companies and ask them to send out a person that can give you an estimate on furnace replacement. The HVAC people should perform an indepth Heat/Cooling analysis. That will tell you the exact size of a new furnace to heat your house without oversizing. There are some very good furnaces made today that will operate efficiently and keep your operating costs down. I dont know where you live but attempt to find some well known furnace dealers in your area. They have experience, certified technicians and offer warranties, service and have insurance to protect you and themselves. Stay away from the one man firms that only do the work on evenings and weekends.
Most of them do not carry insurances and are not certified.
Compare the quotes from all 3 companies for furnace size, warranties, types of furnaces and then price. OLD furnaces are costly to operate and should be replaced.

I had a boiler installed, it cost me 1500.00 w/0 the baseboard heaters. You give very little information. Come on back on with something to work on.
