After deleting Fred and all of his minions you need to look at how Fred got onto your computer. Update your fire wall and AV is a good place to start and change your password. Also, add password access to the PC itself.
If you have wireless, go next door and thump your neighbour. Then go to a wire system.
Another way of accessing is by placing a cookie, or a program onto your machine. To get rid of the cookies, go to Temporay Internet files and delete folder. Now do the same with the Windows folder, (Although I would be tempted to re-trace any sites visited by Fred and, if he left the password on, to auto log onto sites, change it.
You mention that there is porn on your computer. This sounds like Fred went to a site and pressed yes on a pop up that he shouldn't have. Go to Windows, Programs and remove any offending porn programs (If you are not sure what a program does, use Windows help). A safer way would be to re-set your hard drive to a previouse date setting, pre Fred). If it is a pop up file, you might want to check your phone bill, since this is a common con.
The best defence against this sort of thing is to find a dodgy mate, who will write you a particularly nasty virus. Place this in a file that Fred may access. Sit back and wait for Fred to destroy his hard drive.
Good Luck

I would ask your family if any of their friends have used the computer for a while, and if you are sure that there is no " Fred " just take out the files, you could always put them on to a floppy disc or a flash card, then when the person who owns them asks where they are; you have found the culprit, it might just be the kids try it on, My ex wife had a load of porn cookies on her computer once, it was the daughter's mate, he was only 10 but he knew where to go, speaking of that check out you cookies for words such as sex tracker sites

Go to control panel and users and delete the fred account. Also delete the guest account if you have one. Then do a virus scan, make sure you are using a firewall (if not try zone alarm, it has an easy interface) and change all your passwords (make them at least 8 characters).
I believe this would be enough to make you safe.

Its either hacked via the internet connection, or its someone sitting at the desk.
You've had some good advice;
Log in to your account and check you have Administrato privileges.
Delete the Fred account.
Set a password on your account.
Delete the Guest account.
Set up a new account and give it limited privileges. Give it a password and let visitors use that.
Password protect Safe Mode;
http://www.wikihow.com/Password-Protect-Safe-Mode-in-Windows-Xp
That'll stop anyone whose using it at the desk - and thats probably whats happened.
Just in case you've been hacked over the internet;
Install one firewall, one anti virus, some anti spyware and the utilities.
Install Spybot S&D and use the Immunise function and the Teatimer settings.
Run the anti virus and anti spyware in Safe Mode.
Reboot, install Mozilla Firefox and set it as the main (default) browser.
Delete the Internet Explorer icon on the limited account so only Firefox is available.
To get into Safe Mode repeatedly press the F8 key after the bios screen loads but before Windows loads. You'll know if you made it because the screen will be at 800 x 600 and your pc will be slow.
Then beef up your security. Its easier to prevent malware getting on to your sytem in the first place rather than trying to remove it. All the following programs are free for personal use;
You need to install one firewall.
The Windows firewall doesn't stop malware on your pc from dialling out.
http://www.zonelabs.com Zone Alarm firewall
http://www.comodogroup.com/ - Comodo security suite.
You need to install one anti virus;
http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ -AVG anti virus or
http://www.avast.com - Avast Antivirus
You need all three anti spyware programs;
http://www.ewido.net - AVG(Ewido) anti trojan.
http://www.lavasoft.com - Ad-Aware SE Personal anti adware
http://www.safer-networking.org - Spybot Search and Destroy anti spyware
And these are useful utilities;
Shields Up security site;

http://www.grc.com/optout.htm - grc anti spyware program and info.
http://www.mozilla.com/ Firefox web browser and Thunderbird e-mail program.
http://www.opera.com/ Opera web browser
Instal both these web browsers, turn off javascript on one and use that browser for vising unknown websites. They don't support Active X so thats one less way for problems to get on your pc.
http://spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm - The Spyware Warrior site identifies fake anti spyware programs.
http://www.ccleaner.com Cr*pcleaner Registry cleaner and privacy tool
http://www.mailwasher.net/ -spam filter
Winpatrol is a handy utility that tracks cookies on your pc and stops unwanted changes to your startup folder.
http://www.winpatrol.com
Spywareblaster works with Internet Explorer and Firefox. It won't uninstall spyware that is already on your pc, but it will prevent hijacks and other malicious changes to your browser.
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com
http://www.siteadvisor.com -MacAffee Site Advisor warns about malware on sites you are about to visit.
http://www.sys-shield.com - AbsoluteShield File Shredder
Remember to update and run all of you anti malware programs at least once a week.
AND I forgot - UNPLUG the modem when you're not using the internet!!!

Password protect your account. If other members of your family use your computer, set up individual accounts for them... otherwise, the password protection on your account should stop others from using your system.

whilst the workstation is initiating, constantly press F8 to have the potential to decide on a startup mode. decide for risk-free Mode and whilst the welcome reveal pops up with the each and all the customers, decide for the Administrator one (it always does not have a password, until eventually somebody purposely positioned one there). whilst risk-free Mode finishes loading, bypass to the administration panel and bypass to person debts. because of the fact the administrator, you are able to delete passwords and debts of alternative customers. subsequently delete the password on your extensive-unfold account and restart the workstation. This time start up in the conventional way, and once you get to the welcome reveal, merely click on your person account and you're able to have the potential to login. I propose the two no longer having a password on your account, or positioned one on which you will particularly bear in mind.
