I am running 2 7800 gtx cards in sli config. and I can max out any game. You can however use one card. I like Nvidia cards and usually buy cards made by evga. However I have used ATI cards in the past and they are pretty as well. Your best bet is to buy something around 300 $ . I spent 460. $ on each of my cards, but will be able to play anything coming out for a long long time. They are just starting to make games that use higher performing cards so you will be set for awhile. I can play FEAR or C.O.D or any other game on any setting with no crashes. I played half-life 2 back when I had an ATI 9800 pro card. This card worked fine, but their are better ones out now. That was also an AGP card and not a PCI express card. Now we are back to the PCI express age. So check out the slot on your motherboard and see if it's agp or pci. If you don't want to upgrade soon buy a better card. The only thing with Half-Life is their source crap they use for the game. I played HL 2 years ago finished it and put on shelf. It has been two years since I played and tried to install last month to play again. Because when I played the first time under a different e-mail address it won;t except my game. I have no way of accessing game anymore. I bought the collecters edition for 80 bucks and can't play it because of the way the security is set up. Half life sucked anyway, this game just stops with crappy ending. I despise the makers of half life for this crap. If your gonna play a sierra game try FEAR its better then HL.

i do no longer think of a million/2 existence 2 has a application renderer. And no laptop in recent times comes without snap shots proccessor you probable have integrated snap shots (the chip is ussually interior the northbridge of the motherboard coated with a heatsink) a million/2 existence 2 are you utilising DX7 mode? it won't harm it as CPU's won't be able to die of overuse (as a results of utilising voltmodding will you fry it)

Checkout www.systemrequirementslab.com

Excellent site - Just select Can You Run It? and select the game you want to run and it will analyse your computer and see if you meet the minimum and recommended requirements.

It even gives you recommendations if you don't meet any requirements. Its American, but just note the components and go to somewhere like dabs.com.

I always use it before I buy a new game!!!

Best one you can afford. I got an nVidia 7800 GTX and I sometimes feel the game could use a little more power.

Depending on its engine requirements an X800 should just do the trick.
