A bronze 1933 penny from Great Britain is extremely rare and no guide book lists a price. It is KM# 838, there is also a 1933 .500 silver penny worth about $20 US dollars. Maybe more in Great Britain. You need to see a coin dealer, to see if it is real, then maybe sell it at auction. Since you mentioned Sterling, I presume you Live in the UK.

I say a posting on E-Bay selling a 1933 penny for $4.99. I do not know, however, if it is actually worth that.
