Worry about your own country. We'll take of ours.

Because Americans are basically dim witted and poorly educated and don't know better as exemplified by the neo/cons...We can't see BS from shinola...We are also prejudiced and buy into the"Good Ole Boy" political ideology which Bush epitomizes. We like to think we are the Big Bad Boy's of the world and carry a big Stick as well. We do know that a war will stimulate the economy and we can just send poverty stricken people over there and we won't have to do it.It will give them jobs and keep them out of trouble and maybe get rid of some so as to cut down on welfare. We also like to own country's that are oil rich. There are many other reasons but those are top secret and voicing them might damage our national security.

He comes off as a tough guy to some people. I for one see him in a different light.

If you look deeper, what he really is, is someone who wishes he was a tough guy. The only reason he can act as tough as he does is because he has been taken under the wings of "The powers that be": That being the case, he can get away with most anything, including mass murder, with little or no consequences.

The last Time "The powers that be" put in someone in a simular nature, was when they selected Adolf Hitler to lead Nazi Germany.

Many people don't believe Bush was elected, rather he was placed there to do a job for "The Order": The job seems to include the killing of a great number of people and taking control of Middle East territory and resources. This has proved challenging, since the plan to declare Marshal Law, on the U.S. was, for now anyway, thwarted. The "aircraft" that was suppose to decapitate the Legislative branch of our government, on 9/11, failed its mission, when it mysteriously crashed in Pennsylvania. The subsequent 9/18 anthrax attacts on two Democratic Senators and the media didn't fare too much better, but did manage to terrorize them: In effect, making them hostages to the perpetrators.

Now, I could stop here, but allow me to outline and point out some interesting web sights that I have found. These will help guide you to a new understanding of our national leader.

That's a great question...I think it has to do with 9/11 (like EVERYTHING is always blamed on that day). Because our country went through a horrible tragedy (but more people die from starvation each day, for example), we needed somebody (anybody) to lean on. And because George Dubya won a close (unfair, not popular vote...damn electoral college) election he happened to be the president at the time. So we throw ourselves into a (wasteful) war and everybody feels like they need to re-elect him or else they aren't "supporting" the troops.

I cannot wait until the 2008 elections, when the Dems control the Senate, House AND Presidency. Yay Barack Obama!

Why does it matter to you?

You've gotten a number of great answers to this question so I am not going to repeat what they said.

I do want to point out though that if you Europeans were half as concerned about your own political environment as you are about ours then perhaps your region of the world wouldn't be in the condition that it is.

I feel sorry for you folks. Your very culture is at risk and all you can do is point to the flaws of the United States. Let me tell you this... if everything comes tumbling down around the democracies of this world the United States will be your last hope for survival. I wouldn't be so quick to alienate us. We are a compassionate people but we also will remember who our friends were when it counted.

Bush signed the Law prohibiting Americans from funding the IRA. Since the disarming of the IRA are you better or worse off?

When given a choice , the American people usually chose someone they feel has the greatest chance to lead. It so happened that we were attacked during his first year in office. That changed forever how Americans feel about our place in the world. We have not been or ever will be perfect, but, don't ever call my president crap, regardless of who it is. The world has it's hand out for the U.S. to finance everything. Those days are gone."You are either with us or against us". It still applies.

Plenty of people in American didn't vote for Bush, in the same way that loads of Brits didn't vote for Blair or support his policies (I don't).

As for your "free Ireland" I suggest you take it up with idiots such as Ian Paisley.

You are entitled to your opinion. But most Americans wanted someone for President that had the guts to defend the country and kick the living crap out of the people that wanted to attack us. Most of us still do. What is your beef in Ireland? He hasn't affected you in any way. Europes economic problems are Europes fault, not Bush's. China contributes to global warming and pollution more than the US, but Europe wants America to foot the biggest part of the bill to fix it. As for the terrorist's remember they hit us first, not the other way around. Our economy is great, jobs are everywhere, the stock market is setting record highs, and thousands of Terrorists have gotten their wish to met Allah and their 40 virgins. What is you gripe. Or do you hear other people saying that and just go with the flow like most Europeans that are too lazy to research anything for themselves?

You have your reasons like everyone else but to be American is to have a choice. People choose him and we have to respect that and work together for a better future. To fight about our choices to to divide our country and that will only make things worse

This is an old and used up question, some people have no foresight, history will vindicate him. It will show he was a man of vision, and commitment to his greatest responsibility to the office in which he was elected!
