I'm going to London in June 2007. I have no idea what to wear while I'm there. I don't want to look like the typical California girl that I am. I want to look like I belong there, and not a tourist teenager. I'll be 17 at the time. Any suggestion?

London's pretty cosmopolitan, so it's actually quite hard to stand out! Wear comfortable clothes as you're going to be walking around a lot and be aware that the weather in June is extremely variable. You may find you need a sweater, sunglasses, and then a raincoat within an afternoon's walking so you'll need to carry a bag to stash layers.

You get all sorts in London so you'd find it hard to look out of place! You could try something like skinny dark jeans, vintage boots and a smock top or a funky knitted top, with a nice big necklace. Slouchy tops are good, layers are good, colours tend not to be too bright or brash.

Most normal londoners dress in pretty dark colors, gray tones. Everyone has a black, gray, or blue knee length peacoat. People in london dress up a little more than people in california, so when going out dress accordingly.

You'd find it very hard to stand out in London, so whatever you wear should be fine. However, you've got to consider the weather - very unpredictable, so be prepared.
