Beccy-Ann, no offence, but you're off your trolley! No matter how well you know your cyle you can't guarantee you won't fall pregnant. Get a grip - with so many unwanted kids being born into society and you're advocating the natural contraception - totally irresponsible.
Toothache, you can carry on with the pill without a break for as long as you want but it's only adviseable for a maximum of six months then you should have a break at least three months in a row. There are side effects, but you show me what medication doesn't have side effects - it's up to you personally to weigh up the pros and cons.

I must admit I've never heard of it causing a problem - I've only ever done it twice in a row (so skipped 2 months) though. You may want to consider changing to the contraceptive injection - you have a jab every few months and it can stop your period totally. My friend has it (she was always forgetting to take her pill) and it's never caused her any problems; your GP or local Family Planning Clinic can fill you in on the details, or I found this website http://www.fpa.org.uk/guide/contracep/coninj.htm you may find interesting - it's got info on the normal pill there too.

It is never safe to take the pill. Have you read the instruction leaflet that come with it to see what taking the pill can do to you?
My advice would be to come off the pill before you do some serious damage to yourself. Did you know that your body has natural periods of fertility and infertility? It s pretty easy to chart your cycle and identify these phases. All you need to do is not have sex when you are fertile. Modern Natural Family Planning is more effective than the pill, has none of the side effects and is iimmediately reversible.
Stop supressing your body's natural cycles and learn how it works!

I wouldn't do it for more than a real need to ,Holidays etc, but there are some contraceptive pills and injections, that stop periods almost altogether,so book an appointment at your Doc's to find out what is best for you.

Well I took the pill back to back for two months and missed both periods but halfway through the third month my period decided to put an appearence in regardless. I think your body needs to release it by then.

Hi - I found if I 'missed' more than 1 period / break then the next one (effectively 2 months worth) OMG the pain! It sometimes made me wonder if it was worth it to be honest. As someones said already tho, being a guy, you dont have to worry about this!xx

its perfectly fine to take continuos pill packets. although i would advise to talk to your doctor before hand just to check that its ok for you.
i take 3 pill packets continuously then have a 7 day break so in fact i only have a period every 3 months and its brilliant! i'd advise it to anyone with heavy, painful periods

I was told you can stop your period max 3 times in the row but then you need to take a break.

you should only do this if you really need to, like once a year. why dont you ask your doctor if you can have the contraceptive injection. they inject you in your bum every 3 months and after about 6 months you dont have periods anymore!
