I would say that it depends on what it is. Sometimes I joke with my mother that I want a pony, croc. or a panda. She rolls her eyes. I just hope that she won't actually take me seriously and get me any of those things. She's got that sort of sense of humor.
Anyway if its within reason and budget then I say sure why not.

My eldest daughter (19) wants a unicycle and my youngest (16) wants to go on a course to learn circus tricks. We are not a circus family and they don't live together so these ideas came up independently. Already got the unicycle, looking out for a suitable circus training course.

My son had a cornsnake last year and it's starting to grow quite fast, so this year he's getting a larger Vivarium with all the equipment he needs. that's about £100 and he wants a mobile phone of his dad, [my ex]

My son is 7 years old and he's asked for a LARGE jar of marmite as he absolutely loves the stuff!! I've bought him a jar just for a laugh!

Not my child exactly, but my godson asked for a "pretend cabbage". I think he means play food............. if so, then I'm happy to buy it, but I'm not sure I know many shops that sell pretend cabbages.
