And why do some people start almost all their sentences with "Noooo..." and then add whatever they have to say?

they say that either to
1. change the subject
2.say something bad but then try to redeem themselves by saying something nice.

It's because sometimes, a yes or no answer does not give justice to their answer. Sometimes, they give an answer based on a technicality, in which case they'll state why it would be otherwise. Sometimes it's a question in which they'll state popular opinion, and then afterwards, give their own opinion on the matter. Sometimes the answer is their own opinion, and they want the asker to understand it's just an opinion, and that it's perfectly fine to disagree. Sometimes the answer is true in certain situations, but untrue in other situations. There are various shades of gray that a mere "yes" or "no" sometimes just can't produce.

because they don't have a personality,or any self confidence..they're just affraid to tell how they really feel or think! so they try to cover up things by saying no..

who says no unless they're disagreeing w/ something? I don't know anyone who does that unless they're disagreeing so maybe I'm not in the loop

no,but the thing is that they want to say yes but they say no because they like the sound of NO(as I do) :D

maybe they're trying to be polite.

not me. I tell people what I think to their face.
