I had excatly the same with my two. The first, no sickness, the second... I thought I would die! Eat little and often, even though you don't want to. Keep sipping water if you let yourself get dehidrated things will be TEN times worse! This may carry on for a very long time.. prepare yourself mentally for this!
Don't keep hoping it will be gone tomorrow, make yourself believe that you are going to be really ill the whole pregnancy and it will feel like a real bonus if it stops before then!
Please keep your chin up.. I know it's hard. But it DOES come to an end!

If it gets to the stage where you arent keeping food down for you and the baby the doctors will then usually prescribe something as nutrients need to be absorbed for both your well being and your babies.
They say that you feel more sick if there is a high level of pregnancy hormones doing their job, so that might make you feel a bit better.
I wouldnt have thought fizzy pop would help at all, they alsoi say to stay clear from strong smells.
I've found some websites for you to peruse, not sure how helpful the products are, but anythings worth a try. This one is about morning sickness to aleviate your worries a bit and when a doctor will consider intervening.

This one is information that the B6 vitamin can aleviate morning sickness in some.

This one is a website entirely about morning sickness.

I did with my second. She's nearly 16 now but oh the memories. My husband used to bring me my dinner and say "do you want to eat this or shall I chuck it straight down the toilet." It didn't stop after the first 3 months either like it's supposed to. At the end I could barely eat anything because I was either vomitting or had chronic heartburn. I was a stone lighter after I had her than I was before I got pregnant. She was a perfectly healthy 8lb 12 ounces and worth ever second of the suffering.

Rest as much as you can, hopefully it will go away in a few weeks and remember when the baby arrives it will all fade into a distant memory. All the best.

I had the same problem when i was pregnant with my daughter 2 years ago. After complaining all the time to the doctor, i took matters into my own hands. Basically get a lot of sleep and try and walk short distances in the afternoon when its convenient. Eat a lot of fruits (if you can) and lots of water as well (its hard but you might find the benefits is encouraging). Pregnacare (the pregnancy supplements) is very good too, it contains all the necessary vitamins +folic acid. The tiredness does take a while to go away but in the meanwhile don't fret it's happened to several women before and pregnacies are different. + Pray to God for strength whether or not you believe in him. You'd be surprised how powerful he is.

hi there.
ok you say you are being sick all day everyday. how many times are you being sick? if you are frequently being sick lets say more than 5 times a day (some times even in the night!) have trouble keeping food and liquids down and have lost weight you may be suffering from a condition called hyperemesis gravidarum. it basically means "excessive vomiting during pregnancy". sadly alot of health professionals fail to diagnose this as it isnt widely heard of. i suffered with this during 2 pregnancys and the first time i met the same response as you.. cant do anything even though i mentioned it to the gp the midwife and the hospital.
hyperemesis gravidarum can be dangerous for you and your baby if it continues untreated, you may become dehydrated and malnurished due to exessive vomiting.
here is a good site which will give you all the information you need about the condition.
http://www.hyperemesis.org.uk/
read through the information and if you think you have the symptoms go back to your gp and ask for a second opinion. these is treatment availiable such as anti nausia drugs and intravenous fluids if you are dehydrated and are having trouble keeping fluids down.
the best of luck x

I can relate to you. I had morning, noon, and night sickness and suffered for at least four months. Lost weight and felt so tired all the time. But it will pass. Just keep taking the ginger biscuits and dont eat very big heavy meals. At the end of the day my daughter was worth all the suffering. I wish you all the best of luck.

This sounds like it might be hyperemesis. Go back to the doctor if you are vomiting and get some anti nausia tablets. Also there are other things that you an take. Ginger ale diet and ginger tea. Go to the herbalist and get some pregnancy vitamin tablets. If you are sick buy some vitamin b chews (the childrens vitamins) thy should come in a jelly or jube. Vitamin B is very good for you at the moment. Some chemists also sell preggy pops which have vitamin b. If you get realy sick there are lots of things the doctor can do but they the doctors usualy like to play it by ear.

I agree with Hazy. Doctors and health care professionals sometimes dont pick up that it is Hyperemisis. Maybe you also need a second oppinion. I got sick with this and the worse thing for me was the fatigue - I could not move to save myself. You need to get a friend to help and to advocate for you because at this time you are quite vulnerable. If you are vomiting more than 5 times a day, have acute sence of smell ( sometimes called hound dog nose) , start salvinating (excess saliva) and start losing weight you realy need to see the doctor for anti nausia medication. Also there are some tips like you can get over the counter sleeping tablets called restavit they are an anti- hystermine and they wont harm the baby- now a company made these pills which combined Doxylamine succinate with vitamin B and pregnant women took them at night. What it does is relax the body and in the morning you should have some tea and crackers. You could just combine Doxylamine succinate with vitamin b for the same effect. If you dont eat at all because you hate throwing up it will be worse. the trick with hyperemisis is to relax. Thats why the restavits are good. Also health shops should sell relaxing teas. Dont let people upset you. Also rally in the troupes - your friends and family and get them to look up hyperemesis because not a lot of people understand how crippling the fatigue is and if they know they can help you. It is so crippling.

Also you need a good health care professional to work out a health care plan with you that includes regular weighing - because you can lose a lot of weight.

on the up side the baby is safe and the risk of miscarriage is severely reduced by to something like 0.03% - why is this well no ones knows but for some reason the baby goes ok its poor mum who is skin and bones.

My very best advice to you is get a qualified and knowledgeable health care professional to help you. THere are lots who understand hyperemesis. And get the people around you to get themselves knowledgeable with this disease which effects 1% of pregnant women.

THe other thing is try to take 800 miligrams of FOLATE. Studies have shown women who take vitamins, vitamin B amd folate lesson the chances of Hyperemesis. If you take it the symptoms might subside but take the folate at night with the restavit and vitamin B tablets. Also motion sickness tablets will help but speak to someone who understands Hyperemesis. THe other thing is that if you get acid or gastric reflux you can take a gastro tablet - called Gavilast which is a 12 hour one for indegestion but........ let your doctor know. THey say dont take these while pregnant but I have under a doctors supervision and me and the baby was fine.

I hope all this helps you and god bless.

I'm about 8 weeks pregnant with my second baby and this is the first time i have really suffered with morning sickness - except it seems to last all day!! I have discovered many things that trigger it off - the smell of coffee, people smoking, deodorant, people farting (sorry, tmi!!), travelling by car, standing for too long, not drinking enough fluids, the list goes on!! I try to avoid most of these problems but i have learnt to breath through my mouth if i start smelling these things, and by getting plenty of fresh air. suck lots of mints and chew sugar free gum too!!

I'm 8 weeks with 2nd, and feel alot more nauseas this time around, been sick a few times which was more now than throughout my last pregnancy. My smells not as sensitive (yet) this time round hoping it stays that way. I do take pregnacare tablets as did in my last pregnancy so i'm hoping that's keeping me from being violently sick. I did burn body shop gingernut oil last time, should be available in run up to Christmas. Good luck I hope it subsides soon:)

I had that with baby number 2, i have two girls and my pregnancys were totally different. The whole nine months I felt awful with my second child, I was constantly tired, hungry, sick, very moody and I couldnt stand the smell of cosmetics for some strange reason.
Needless to say there wont be a third pregnancy for me :o)
But she was worth it!
