Used for Spots, Bites, Aches, pains and muscle / sports injuries.
there are several types availible on the market, white (with peppermint Oil) that feels hot, then goes cold, and Red with more Camphor which is not as strong as the white and stays hot.
There is also a mild version which is brown in colour and not as hot as the others.
Tiger Muscle Rub is now sold on Ebay in a plastic tube and great for pre excersise warms ups and muscle aches. Tiger Oil or Linamment is not availible in the UK but works extremely well as it soaks into the skin and gives deep penetration.
I have a listing for Tiger Oil and Muscle Rub on Ebay, cheaper than anyone else as a combined deal if you're interested, have a look. I won't put the URL cos it would be spamming.

I know Tiger balm of old..... As a young girl my Grandad brought it back from abroad where he was working.
Its used to relive muscle ache and things such as period pain (lots better than the new muscle and pain rubs on the market/ i would say its the best), you just rub it to the effected area. Be careful though as once my Grandad forgot to wash his hands and went to the toilet.... He didn't walk right for a few days lol bless him. Also you can add it to hot water to make a vapour if you have a cold. Just be careful with it as its strong stuff.
Hope this is of some help.
Hope this has helped if you would like more help just email me.

Way way back then, when I used to smoke do[pe, Tiger Balm was a great novelty! Get really off your head, then rub a little Tiger Balm on your temples, or on your third eye. Then get someone to blow gently on the area. Wow! Very strange sensation. Breeze blowing through your brain cells. Quite nice.

All the above and below are uses for tiger balm, but I think it has to be said that it is not as nearly replusively smelling as Deep heat. Also be careful, it can stain clothing as I found out last time I used it and at least you can go nearly other people with it not like deep heat, where you dont even want to be near yourself!

Tiger balm is a superb multi-purpose balm. We've used it for muscular aches and tightness - rub some on the affected area, colds and blocked noses (including allergies) - apply a sparing amount to the upper lip, so that the vapours enter the nose (works a treat - far more effective than Vicks and other brand-named treatments), and it also works on chillblains. It's superb and we swear by it! It also lasts for years and years, whilst still being effective. It also smells pleasant, and is completely natural. Highly recommended!!
