How dare they!

When you consider the stupid cost of living in this country today and the fact that its virtually imposslbe to get a good job, is it any wonder people get into debt?

There are no council houses so you have to get a mortgage and buy, or else borrow money to pay bond, first month's rent etc on a private rented home!

The ones to blame are the stupid companies who are offering all these loans, credit cards etc.

Its very easy to take out credit when thing are going well for you, then you lose your job, get ill etc and can't keep up the payments.

Then again David Cameron earns about £150,000 a year so what would HE know about money problems?

If this is really Tory propaganda it is strange that the Tories should now suddenly adopt an anti-debt attitude. Having spent most of the 1980s and '90s encouraging us to buy our council houses so now we are all mortgaged up to the hilt and unlikely to pay off the debt until well past official retirement.

As for calling people tossers - that's just the way the typical upper class public school boy thinks of us proles. In my day a tosser was a w**ker - it was an insult. In trying for humour Cameron's people are revealing, subconsciously perhaps, what they really think of ordinary British people.

I try not to care what the conservative party do or say but of course when they are in power particularly when they have people like Thatcher in charge you have to take some action to combat the problems the create. However getting into too much debt is a really stupid thing to do but tosser is rather unpleasant word to use about someone and there are nicer and more descriptive words that can be used and which educated men like Cameron should know

Perhaps the flippant answer is that it takes one to know one, but that merely ignores the appalling generalisation that is an insult to all who are stuck in debt and can't find their way out. Take for example those who have lost money due to the collapse of a Christmas catalogue firm. Well, Mr Cameron are they tossers? Or the students who have thousands of pounds to pay off for having had Higher Education provided at cost when it ought to be free.

This is misguided, but then Conservatism always was.

It,s called Freedom of Choice -- No one forces people to borrow more than they can re-pay , the same as No-One forces anyone to go out and get Pissed out of their Mind , Use and become addicted to Drugs , have "Unprotected" Sex , become infected with S T D,s - or Pregnant - -- The options are called "Self Respect - Self Reliance - Responsibilty and that increasingly rare thing called "Common Sense" -- It is up to the Individual to MANAGE THEIR OWN LIVES - Irrespective of the Social Climate created by Devious , Lying Politicians .

The conservative party are advocates of the freedom to control your own life. The same meaures that could be introduced to protect individuals from excessive debt would ahve implictaions on business having a knock on effect.
Surely , you want to control your own destiny and have every chance to succeed.
If david cameron has made this statement then i respect him for his bluntness and not panderring to the politically correct.
The alternative is blair bringing in a new act to "protect us from ourselves"!
Im not saying that evryone who gets in to too much debt is a tosser, but i do say that you have a choice when you take on debt and should be aware of the risks.
simple!

David Cameron should know as he is a big "t..sser" himself.
The issue of debt is a serious one, that is almost impossible to avoid in the modern day.
Most of it created by the banks and government who have the means to increase or decrease interest rates at will.
This also means that that Gordon Brown is a very big one as he has created the national debt.
The Labour Party is in debt.
The Conservative party is in debt.
So we are all a load of t..ssers

I have nothing against the word toss*rs. especially if aimed at the Conservative party! Strange but last night I had a thought about the Conservative party and the subject of debt. I can remember when they were in power their Chancellor made one of the biggest financial blunders in history, within 24 hours the bank rate shot up from about 6% to over 15%!! Can you imagine what that did to the morg' rates and other debts, just imagine that happening again if they ever got returned. At that time there were almost riots in the street, it took a couple of weeks to sort out, I expect people will have forgotten that by now??
But come nearer the election, I for one will remind them.
They are without doubt the biggest bunch of toss*rs to have ever existed, the word was designed just for them.
I feel a lot better now. Thanks for the question it helped to remind me.

Nobody forces people to borrow money. It is part of the malaise of this society that people refuse to take responsibility for their actions and blame everybody but themselves for the mess they have made of their lives.
As a grumpy old man, I was brought up to believe that if you wanted something, you saved the money first and then bought it when you could afford it. Today you borrow, buy and don't bother about repayment, when you get into trouble you blame the government, banks or anybody else you can think of. The phraseology may have been crude, but they have the right idea

Oh Dear - The Tories show their true humanitarianism once again - and they haven't even got back into power yet.

When will we learn that nothing changes. When are we going to be offered a political party that doesn't go mad with a little bit of power?

Actually, I'll answer that one myself: Never.

Backwards and forwards we go. Right to left, left to right - and where do we end up? Back in the slop.

to*ser, to*ser, who's the to*ser?
