hmm..i don't look at the earth as a test tube planet...but maybe as a kind of green grocer for the alien slum lords.

the real reason the dinosaurs went extinct? well, the aliens were breeding dinosaurs for a big bar-b-que. the froze the planet, and then picked up the dinosaurs for the party.

the next order they got was for humanoid type slaves. the units had to be bi-pedal, have the ability to reproduce themselves, and have oposable thumbs. the had to be adaptable for work in any sort of climate. so far the order hasn't been filled yet...

just messing with your mind.

It could be, but how can we know?

A Scottish sci fi author named Iain M. Banks gave the characters in one of his books a religion that assumes their universe is just a simulation that could end at any moment.

We could come up with an endless number of theories along these lines, but there's no way of telling if they're true.
