i think england should bat until the fourth day maybe then they can force a draw otherwise i dont see them winning this game, its iether they force a draw or they lose. if they really wanted to win, they would obviously rely on the aggressiveness of peitersen and flintoff but they now have to play a cautious game and abandon their natural game because england are already 3 wickets down and if those guys play their natural game, that will present the aussies with some chances and england does not want that now coz 602 is massive total.

if they bat untill the fourth day and make sure that at least the deficit is reduced to about 100 runs or less, then the aussies will then bat again to try to make another lead and that will leave less time for the aussies to get a win.

And i think england should use monty penesar in their next game, dont you think he is better than giles although he does not have experience? he can also bat a little bit and they can also try to use liam plunkett in place of harmisson in some of the test as well coz those guys really have some potential, harmisson seems out of sorts to me!

The only possibilities are Win for Australia or a draw. Considering the performance of England Batsmen in the
first innings, England will have to struggle hard to save the
match or an innings deeat

yes i think weve all established now that england are crap, thank you keen reporter. aussies have got this one stitched up and may i say that ponting is the best batsman in the world.
in short, england are a one-man team and the only guy in the team who can actually play cricket is freddie flintoff. the rest are bloody awful and england do not have a chance of winning this series. i think this proves that the ashes of 2005 was a one-off and to those who think otherwise, i say look at your team now.

No chance of winning this test or any of the others.
Sadly the Aussies have better openers, better middle order, stronger tail, more accurate and pentrating fast bowlers, better spinner, better prepared, stronger mentally & physcally and if thats not enough, home advantage!!!
We can pray for rain! Remember the Oval 2004 and accept we just ain't good enough this time!

The fact that England in reply are 53 for 3 (or something) i would say it a certainty that England will be losing this match.

We aint gonna win, thats for sure..but a couple of nice slow centuries from either Bell, KP, or Freddie and we can still save this match. Its a long, long way from being all over, and forcing a draw from this position would be a moral victory..

lets not get too cocky, they might resort to bodylining or even worse, playing decent cricket! Dont you just looove Mike Hussey, what a champ. To all you poms, how do you feel being decimated by "Dad's Army". When you on a good thing why would you change it? you are all quiet now!
