We may be useless, but at least we're cheerful about it!

The first test is far from over..and if we can save a draw from the current position it will be a huge moral victory. Dont lose hope.

The reality is that it is not that important to us.

Cricket has for years been a minority sport, spectator and participation. We only watch the televised test matches and participation is relegated to the odd school match or pub league (which is pretty much a social event).

England beating a below average Aussie team in the Ashes gave the sport a shot in the arm. I'm not sure how many people went out and bought a bat and ball after our victory (probably the same people who buy tennis rackets when Henman gets through to the quarter finals at Wimbledon).

Sport is a way of life in Australia, both participation and spectating.

If England lose we will all go down the pub have a couple of beers and a singsong. Disappointed, but we will get over it.

When Australia lost the Ashes there was a day of mourning.

It's just a game unless you win, then its serious.

England team is not presently in good from in batting as well as bowling. They have to struggle hard to save the first test or an innings defeat, which appears to be on the card. Hope they will perform better in the 2nd test to keep the interest in Ashes Series alive.

No vaughan, no treshcothic, no simon jones(best player in England), no form, no wins.

How does Harmison who is so out of form I would be a better choice as an attack bowler, who is so underbowled, play 1 of the 3 warm up matches?

Your coach should be fired for that blunder, its so stupid its mind-blowing.

He is more help to england if he was injured, at least you could say.. when we get harmison back...

England has no form, batting bowling, nothing. Giles is a joke, even Pieterson gets 100% more turn

i think the answer youre looking for is that you have one decent cricketer in the whole country (flintoff, for those unsure of whom i was talking) and the next best cricketers (pietersen, strauss) are both born in south africa.

so you have one (yes one) decent homegrown cricketer and two nicked from the seth efricans (yes i spelt it wrong deliberately to imitate the south african accent).
