Yes it was the case during the Trojan war. The Trojans stole the Helen and the Greeks asked Archilles to help them. And they defeated Troy. It was once thought that it was a myth or story. But some archeologists came to find some buildings that were burnt down and they dated the time that the war was thought to have happened!

I am not sure about Helen of Troy, but I know for a fact the movie of Troy is way off. But then again the entire set of events is up to interpretation since all accounts of it are subjective, written in prose that is manipulated for dramatic effect. If you want to read the most popular version of events refer to Homer's the Illiad.

there going by history book dude, so its gonna vary somewhat, plus to make it interesting, you gotta have a love interest to sell tickets. everybodys dead, so the story becomes part fiction, and one interpretation of fact...
