why not send something via amazon.com, postal should be a minimum & they have a wide choice, or even try ebay.com many new things on there

The problem is many US sites will not accept a debit card, which is well annoying because they have some great stuff and since she is in the US and they don't deliver in Europe it may be your only chance to buy with a lot sites (Guess is a good example, great things but only for the USA and only with a CC).
Your best bet is to use an English site, they're a lot more accomodating. Try Amazon, they have other stuff besides books.

practice a scrapbook with you and her in the course of the years. flow to the Scrapbook area of a craft keep, and there are countless diverse scrapbooks accessible, some are extremely effortless that you basically positioned the images in little slots, some are predone pages that you basically positioned the images on the web page, and then possibly write something about the images. you're pressed for time So i ought to indicate something really effortless. i ought to flow for a pocketed scrapbook- the position there are wallet to positioned the images, you are able to also purchase mag packing containers or image mounting paper - in case you want to personalize it and write some particular messages to her. basically write it on the slip of paper and stick it interior the pocket. in case you tell the gals on the craft keep what you want to do, they could grant you with some tremendous thoughts too. Edit** also i noticed at Walgreens they have all sorts of present playing cards- they actually have some for US airways and Hyatt and proper Western- you should get her present playing cards for shuttle- that is a touch out of the funds though (should be for me).

First of all what is the occasion for sending a gift. Christmas or what?
So far as I can tell you have answered your own question.
Good luck in your endeavor to send your friend a gift.
America is quite naturally suspect of packages, and airline passengers.
But we do LOVE people that care about our countrymen or women.

What about an iTunes voucher.
It is an e-voucher, so no need to post, just e-mail.
I did this for my friend in Amsterdam last year.
