i hear people saying that being gay is a choice, but i think being gay is like being straight, you only like one sex...if you could choose either sex you would be bi right?

Being gay is not a choice. Why would someone choose a lifestyle that is scorned by society and gets so few benefits? The problem with being gay is that everyone else has a problem with it. Being gay is like being left-handed: it is genetically related, so people should stop assuming it's a choice. People who like both sexes are bi, so technically, if you can "choose" to be gay, you're bi!

Personally, I am bi. I believe that it is a choice to live a gay or straight life style, but that you can not choose what or who you are.

No . . .
The definition of being gay is only being attracted to one sex, that sex being the same as your own. Now, if you're asking whether someone can choose to have a gay relationship or a straight relationship (where they would be emotionally and sexually satisfied in each), then yes, they would be bisexual.
More reason and proof to me that one cannot choose their sexual orientation- otherwise why wouldn't we all choose to be bisexual? It'd double your chances of a date on Saturday night . ..

I'm a man who's sexually attracted to men.
I can't change that.
I can choose (force) myself to have sex with a woman, but I won't be sexually attracted to her.
Sexual attraction is inherent.
It cannot be changed.
Bisexual people have a better time choosing their mates as they get the best of both worlds. They can choose, comfortably, who their partners are (male or female) because they have inner sexual attractions for both sexes.
I don't.
Since you can't choose what sexually attracts you, then I guess if you could, you would be bisexual. But you'd have to be bisexual in the first place, wouldn't you?
I'm SO confused with your question, but not at all confused in my sexual orientation.

Gotta circulate with the different 2 solutions, i'm heterosexual and that i would not choose for to alter my sexuality. i'm happy and mushy with who i'm thank you. As for no longer with the flexibility to alter your sexuality, i'm uncertain I agree. before everything, i choose for to point out that if somebody is gay - stable for them, i'm no longer in any way saying a individual's sexual decision is erroneous - it extremely is only no longer my place to choose, if a individual is happy the way they are stable for them. i substitute into heterosexual as quickly as I got here of age and had countless crushes on females. in a protracted time, I grew to become a fundamentalist christian and for 8 years, I thoroughly controlled to triumph over and subjugate my sexuality becoming to be celibate. I did this form of stable job of thoroughly removing all lust in direction of all individuals that when I have been given married, I had to instruct myself to lust yet lower back. i'm no longer saying it extremely is consumer-friendly, and that i'm no longer saying it extremely is even mandatory yet i'm suggesting that it may be achieveable. Please no person leap down my throat i'm no longer saying categorically that it extremely is achieveable, i'm only saying that i won't be able to make beneficial that it extremely is impossible.
