i find that sometimes i can. sometimes i realize im dreaming and i think to myself "i can do what i want in this dream.." those are usually my really good dreams =)

Yes. That is called lucid dreaming, when you realize you are dreaming. Next time, try flying, it's pretty fun. Careful though, you could lose control, mid control and start flying upside down or hovering just above the floor! Watch a movie called "Waking Life" It's all about dreams and its a very, excellent and entertaining movie! One of my faves! :)

Sometimes the dreams are a statement by the body or mind telling you something. If you wake up from a dream/nightmare, chances are you may be sleeping on your arm or creating a drastic discomfort with the position of your sleeping habits.
Get into the position, immediately, that you are in when you first wake up in the morning. By getting into that comfortable position you will have better dreams and the body will not be telling you to wake up.

No because when I dream, I'm not aware of it. I did once know I was dreaming and I was able to make things happen. It was sweet

I have only been able to do this once. You are right you can do anything you want in the dream once you figure out you are dreaming.
