I have a job avaliable and waiting for me in Japan, I just need to know what to do to get my Visa. Do I need a working visa?
I have already lived in Japan for the last 2 years, but then came home (I am an Australian citizen in New Zealand) so where would I go to apply for my Visa and what stuff do I need to be aware of?
any help would be great - cheers.

If you have a job waiting for you, they should send you paperwork to take to the Japanese Embassy.

Good to hear you have been here. About visa first. For working in Japan an alien need a work visa I think you should know it as you have lived here. In anyway. Your employer should submit documents on your behalf then Immigration will issue a certificate of eligibility. This should be sent to you in your country take that to the nearest Japanese Embassy or Consulate to apply for visa.

Or come on tourist visa apply for work visa leave Japan and come back again.

Thanks

It is a two part effort for you and your employer.
The company hiring you must sponsor your visa. Once they have submitted their required applications, they should inform you to go to to the local Japanese consulate or embassy and fil out your required applications. Also, your employer will need to submit verification of your education and university diploma(s).
