It could have been worse, you could of had a bird that has been around. There those turkey STDS, turkey aids, turkey herpes, and then the knowledge that you put that turkey in your mouth wew. This way you were the first to inimately know that turkey.

In the future buy better turkeys.
Most frozen turkeys available in the market are not only virgins, but males(toms), who have been fed specific growth hormones to make them grow bigger, faster, with larger breasts.
Think free range, or organic for your food purchases in the future. It is a little more expensive, but at least it reduces your chances of developing hormone problems.

I would be a bit disturbed about the mating deprivation and the unatural hormone injections, but you take a chance when you eat someone else's food. Next time, either be sure to ask if it is free range, wild, etc. or what kind of (commercial) bird it is and you should be able to get an idea of how it was raised.. To avoid feeling guilty, disgusted, or betrayed in the future, either raise or purchase, and prepare your own bird for the holidays.
