Hey, everyone.
I am 16, and over the years..My moustache has been growing over the years. It's really kinda thick now, and I hate it. I told my dad I wanted to shave it off about a month ago, and he said no. He told me, "Don't because you'll have to shave everyday" Even though, I HATE IT. It's annoying, and It's growing so much, and It's getting really dark. What should I do?

Shave it off if you don't like it.
You might not need to shave every day, I have friends who need to shave twice a day, and others that can get away with once a week.

Just shave it of man! Yeah, you'll have to start shaving, but it wont be every day that's just if you want to keep the smooth look. If it's getting really thick then just get rid of it. Better to shave than getting ribbed about looking like someone outta the Village People!

Just shave it.. It's your own body you have the right to shave or not.. It's YOUR CHOICE..
However if your going to shave ask your dad or do it right.
Shave with the grain to prevent ingrown hair, then againist if you want a closer shave... Use shaving cream because the hair is stronger then the blade so the blade will have to go againist the hair so it wears out the blade faster and it irritates your skin.
Or you can trim it..
Well shaving doesn't make your hair grown thicker, it just looks thicker because all the hair is aligned

OK, here's my opinion. Your mustache is growing. It is growing thicker and stronger. This is because you have reached puberty. Your mustache is going to grow in thicker and stronger whether you shave it or not. If you shave, your mustache will feel coarser as it grows back because the short hairs are not as flexible as the longer hairs; it's not that the hair suddenly got coarser!
I believe that hair growing back thicker and coarser because of shaving is a myth. I believe that if you can find medical studies on this question you will have a better answer than just our opinions on YA.

Today or tomorrow, you will have to shave it off and then you would have to shave almost everyday. so if you don't like it on your face, go ahead and shave it off today, coz there is no reason to keep it.
