its in mexico and my friend tells me people there really dress up for weddings, esp cos this one is being held at a really good hotel. I dont have a lot of money to spend on an outfit, but i want to look good, everyone else is going to be really dressed up...any ideas?

There are several ways you can go with this one. Believe it or not, there are some really great formal dresses to be found at thrift stores. Tons of people wear an outfit once and then donate it to the Salvation Army or such. Also, there may be a consignment shop in your area. There people donate their dresses to be sold and they make a small profit off it - so you may get a great deal out of some place like that. And also remember - dressed up doesn't have to mean outlandish. Sometimes simple but elegant can be really nice too. You don't have to go all glitz and glamour. White and off-white should be avoided most times if it is formal. You might also want to ask what the bride's color scheme is so that you avoid looking like a bride's maid. Try to wear something you are also comfortable in. Don't decide to try a new pair of 5" spike heels if you've never worn them before or a dress that it is just a bit too snug. How much money do you actually have? if you mean you only have like 100 bucks to spend buy a gorgeous top 4 100 and just where plain black pants with it. If you have like 500 go to Rixa fashions, noni B, Tramps or somewhere like that and buy a long gorgeous dress. Goodluck my dear! Don't forget makeup and accessories can make anything look awesome!

something you can wear to a wedding is something very formal, and dont wear white..not good.only the bride can wear white. no jeans.
