I have 2 and a half years left in the Army. I will be 22 going on 23. I wouldn't need a scholarship because of the GI Bill. I'm looking to go to a school that has Football and a good education so I can do something with my life after I get out of school. Any Division of Football would be fine (Div I-A, Div I-AA, Div II, Div III, or NAIA).

I play alot of flag football right now. I would try to play semi-pro but I don't know how that would effect my college football playing career.

Work out, alot! Those boys are big and strong, and fast too! My advice is to pick a school that has a good reputation, especially in the field you want to study, then look at football.
If you can meet the admisions requirements, I would recomend Rice University in Houston as one to consider. A top level academic reputation on par with Satnford and Harvard, plus a rejuvenated football program with a new head coach bringing energy and positive attitudes into the system. They have a shot at a bowl game this year, and are building state of the art facilities.

You don't say whether or not you ever played high school football. If you didn't you'll be doing this as a walk on regardless of level - I wouldn't start out by trying at Ohio State, you're on the right track in thinking of the lower levels. Be willing to work hard, hopefully being in the Army already has you in great shape, and plan on being on special teams such as punts and kickoffs, be willing to fly down the field and sacrifice your body to tackle the ballcarrier or throw a block for your own return man. Good luck.
