If price truly doesnt matter to you, stay in one of the best hotels on the las vegas stirp. These include the Bellagio, Wynn, Venetian, and the MGM Grand. This way, you can stay in las vegas and enjoy the non-stop casino action.

However, the All Star game will be held at UNLV at the Thomas and Mack Center, so if you want to be in the middle of the NBA action, choose a hotel there, that is closer to UNLV.

My best recommendation would be to stay on the strip and enjoy that area and catch a cab to the game, UNLV is not too far away. The hotels near it arent that great anyway, the strip has the best hotels in Las Vegas. Plus, any parties that would take place after the game and events would probably be on the strip.

If price doesn't matter go for the Palms. It's a young crowd. But no sports book because the owner of the Palms owns a basketball team. If you want the sports book action and actually watch the game go to Ceasar's Palace. Ceasar's is for the sports fan, Palms is for hanging with the players. FYI: you can stay at the Gold Coast across from the Palms for as low as $39.95 a night depending on when you make your reservations. The Palms is NOT walking distance to the Strip seeing as though you have to walk across a major freeway to get to the Strip but the Gold Coast has a free 24hr shuttle to take you to the Strip.

You should go to http://www.vegasallstarweekend.com. You will need to register to get information. This site is great! The Jam Sessions will be held at the Mandalay Bay, so you might want to stay there.
