I am certain that the both legal/ illegal immigration issue will be one of the most hottly debated subject for next presidential election in the U.S.

Can you tell me, who the next presidental candidates are, and what are their promises/views of both legal and illegal immigration?

Do you think there will be a strong enforcements on the illegal immigration?

But will there be more relaxed barriers for the legal immigration?

Will the perceptions to the illegal immigration change by the American public? Right now, the American people's view on the illegal immigration is very negative, and very harsh (toward the Latin Americans, especially). I believe right now it is the worst since the born of this nation.

I want to hear you opinions on the questions above.

Thank you.

We don't know who will be running for the presidency as of yet. Come January there will be announcments at this point is it just rumors.
Form New York mayor Juliane not sure if that's how you spell is has filed the form already. But not officailly announce that he is running. He would be a republican canidate. He really hasn't said anything on the issue. The rest are speculations. Former first lady Hillary Clinton (Democrat) Those are just two. We will have to wait for the officail run of the primary's to start. Yes I do believe immigration will be one hottly debated topic.

Your question is not an easy one to reply to. Reason? Votes. The Democrats and Republicans are looking for the Latino vote and if they take a stand against illegal immigration then they will lose the majority of Latino votes. As an American I am for stopping illegal immigration completely no matter what it takes. We have a law concerning immigration and this law MUST BE OBEYED. If it isn't obeyed then which other laws can we arbitrately disregard?

I would like to say one thing. If the NATIVE AMERICANS ( INDIANS) built fences long ago. Then Many of us would not be here now debating on immigrants. If it weren't for the Pilgrims all those years ago landing and making friends then back stabbing the very people who helped them YOU and a part of me would not be here. Maybe we should ask the very NATION of people who were here first, last, and foremost still here. That ? Would they change what there ancestor's did? would they build walls and fences to stop us from coming in? We most of us but the Native Americans are immigrants at least our ancestors where.

First off, we need to stop this adoption of children from China and other countries.

Next, create a more jobs for low-wage non-english speaking immigrants. Meaning that we pay them $0.10 per hour and they will soon realize that they aren't making squat so they'll go back home.

Finally, make immigrants pay a fee for coming here. Either by monetary or by labor, such as how the colonies were run (i.e. indentured servants)

Our present policy is to stir up Americans to be angry with Mexicans while doing absolutely nothing to stop them from coming across the border. Bush tries to stir up the local Americans while he has cut all funding for the protection of the border. Too many businesses make huge profits from illegals working for them instead of Americans. So, it looks like for the next two years, at least, you can count on the fact that nothing will be done to change from the way it is now. For this to continue this way it will be necessary for Bush to continue to inflame American anti-Mexican feelings to divert attention away from the real issue - this President is unwilling to enforce the law.

i would justl like to say that immigration has been around since the beginning of this country, and i find it suspicious that it is only recently becoming such a hotly debated issue. my feeling is that, with all the negative attention on the war in iraq, the government felt it necessary to throw the american public a distraction - the immigration issue - and we have taken it like candy.

i might call the police. I dont care how advantageous they have been being cleansing up my homestead or how plenty money they threw at me. maybe I didnt prefer my homestead wiped sparkling. or maybe i needed to pay my own tax. Thats the form between coming right here legally (knocking on the front door), and coming right here illegally (sneaking threw the back door). If I went to Mexico illegally, I wouldnt get each and all the loose scientific care, welfare, jobs, translators, and different advantages the illegals get right here in the States. purely look at how Guatemalan immigrants are dealt with in Mexico. So, its approximately time all of us started laying down the regulation on those human beings, because of the fact if we dont, its going to cost us so plenty extra effective than it would retaining song of them and/or deporting them.
