IF you don't want to find out don't do it. You might be traumatized by what you hear. Plus you might get into a habit of spying on all your boyfriends like that and lose them because of lack of trust.

Never Spy on your girlfriend this is exactly the sort of thing that would push her away if you are worried ask her if her ex is giving her any troubles. You need to trust her and you seem really paranoid... I would ask her over and give her a special dinner go all out with candles and music after ask her if she loves you and tell her you love her look at body language that's the best way to know how she feels about you
