I am assuming this is with an Operator such as Idea/Airtel/Hutch etc
1. Verify the Microwave & Fiber optic Links
2. Traffic Engineering - Ex: How traffic will be routed to MSC
3.Liason with other operators for interconnect
If its with the OEM(Manufacturer)/Equipment Provider (Ex-Nokia,Siemens,Ericsson,Huiwai,Motorola) then
1. Design the Microwave & Fiber optic Links
2. Traffic Engineering - Ex: How traffic will be routed to MSC
3.Installation of Microwave radio/Fiber optic equipment & field Acceptance testing with the operator
4.Trouble shooting when there are pb's with the nework equipments

The successful candidate will have a solid telecom background and experience working in an enterprise level environment. This is a full time position located in Silver Spring, MD. Additional roles and responsibilities include: ? Responsible for the planning and coordination of all telephone and voicemail systems and telephone instruments in facilities across the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. ? Analyze alternative plans for telecommunications services and develop cost comparisons for each. ? Review and analyze telecommunications disaster avoidance and service restoration procedures. ? Plan and coordinate technician efforts for emergency rearrangements and evacuations. ? Analyze telecommunications service arrangements and performs special studies as required, addressing requirements for access diversity, aggregation of resources, technical opportunities, and department-wide telecommunications applications such as voicemail and video teleconferences. ? Review and analyze telecommunications disaster avoidance and service restoration procedures, develops critical service requirements and deploys new strategies and plans for the protection of critical services; this includes developing and leading the teams to affect these goals. ?
