I did and it was so awesome (except for Office Depot...read on)! Although, someone didn’t mention the idea to me until 2:30AM on Black Friday. I was getting ready to sleep to get up early to join the crowds, when my brother said “Can’t we just order the sale items online and have it shipped or picked up at the store?” Then we looked into it and sure enough, you’re able to buy certain items online. I thought that was cool, because I was able to get most, not all of the items I was eyeing. I did this for Staples, Circuit City, and Office Depot. My brother also did Best Buy too. Office Depot sucks though!! I ordered something online at 3AM on Friday and selected the in-store pick up option for Office Depot. However, I wasn’t able to go pick it up until Saturday. When I went, the guy was searching for my item around the whole store for like 15 minutes and finally gave up and his excuse to me was that you’re not supposed to be able to access the web to order it online (and have the in-store pick up option). I was like that’s BULL!! I didn’t say it, but it just doesn’t make any sense. I am sure the IT guys would have disabled the option if it was truly unavailable. I think that because it was a popular item, someone gave away the reserved item (that was supposed to be for me) to someone who asked for it when they were shopping at the store. I didn’t run into this problem with Circuit City (or Best Buy) when I went on Saturday to pick up my web order. I just had to wait a couple of minutes while they went to the back to grab my items. And furthermore, when I asked if it was OK to come back to pick it up when they received more inventory, he said no, the sale will be over after today. That didn’t make sense to me either because I know that as long as I made my purchase within the valid dates (at Circuit City), I can pick it up any time. C.City didn’t even print me out a different receipt when I got there, they told me to use my email confirmation receipt as proof of purchase when I submit my rebate. So I just don’t understand why it’s not the same at Office Depot. Good thing I don’t shop there that much; I like Staples or Office Max much better! Thanks for listening, I just wanted to vent that to someone. It’s not that I wanted the item from Office Depot that bad; I am just fed up that they don’t even follow their own policy (purchase online and have in-store pick up – option was available)!

Also, I wanted to add my tidbit that I think we were just lucky this year. I don’t think a lot of people knew about the online option. If more people knew about it, I am sure that I won’t be able to get anything online OR in the store!!

They just have all these cool doodad items that are so cheap! Cheap...hm-m-m. Probably made cheap. Probably break within a week. Then I won't have the receipt to take back the broken item because I will be lucky to get to my car through the crowds with my life and purchases ....O.K. you talked me out of it....
Away to ebay I go........

How about why even shop at all tomorrow? They're supposedly low sale prices will be happening again and again this next month, so why the panic?
