one of mine friend who is software engg caught by police in a park with her girl friend but he was not doing anything illegal and both of them are major persons. so can police arrest them in offense of "Awaragardi" . and what type of rights we have against it to expalin poilce that we are not doing any thing wrong.please rply mr

I think we can understand what he's trying to say. His friend is a s/w engineer and was caught by the police with his girl friend (who also happens to be a s/w engineer) in a park. Apparently they both are people in respectable posts and were not doing anything wrong when the police caught them.
Our friend wants to know what their rights are and how they can proceed to prove their innocence.
I don't know the legal implications, but knowing the way law and order works in our country, influential friends can help. Get some big shot to recommend for your friend. That should do the trick.

File a case of illegal arrest against the policemen since they have no basis for executing the arrests under the law.

you should explore the definition of Friend anybody who places their own petty needs of the moment ahead of the risks they are imposing on the people they hang around with are not worthy of the title "Friend" one day soon you will likely be driving with people like this in your life do you realize who is guilty of possession if you get stopped and they drop a joint or a bag of weed on the floor so they are not holding? do you realize if they throw their drugs out the window and it is observed the driver is guilty of possession? treat this as a lucky break and a good warning you are not in trouble this time find a better class of people to hang around with before you are in trouble it might be wise to find some information on the law and how it works it can be quite the eye opener

If they were using their Hardware and Software in the public place,it is against the law.Just sitting and talking about them is no offence.

Right to FREEDOM. Freedom of going places, freedom of expression and if they are harsh and abusive with you, you can certainly go to some NGO or even media people. Once your case is highlighted - Horrrraaahhh, you are safe!!!!

hmmm, took some doing, but i guess "Awaragardi" is useless life. we would call that vagrancy in the US. always seemed silly to me that police arrest people in parks for doing what parks are for doing, nothing.
police probably suspected they were having sex, but couldn't prove it so....

from my point of view if they are not doing anything then the cop should not haresh the people like these , but if they are doing something wrong then they should be punished leggaly .
