By the tea Time, Pakistan's lead was 181 runs. Even if he declares at that time, it was not possible to bowl out west Indies in one session and win the match. By Tea Time, it was certain that the match was going to be ended in a draw. Hence Inzammam decided to continue with play in order to give an opportunity to Mohd. Yusuf to complete his double century. I strongly feel that Inzamam should not be blamed for that under any circumstances.

i'm a west indian and would have loved 2 c west indies win. but i think inzamam could have declared at 200 and give his bowlers about 11/2 hours to get a go at us. it would be unreasonable to expect us to have scored that many runs in that time. althought they would have not bowled us out, a wicket or two before the end of the day would have given the match an interesting or at least exciting end. a "tame" or boring draw is not in good taste for cricket.

Inzamam observed very keenly the way Brian Lara played the match and shown his interest to win the match. He did right thing by not declaring the inning. He had not given any chance to West Indian's to overcome Pakistan in last couple of days.
