I was wondering if I was going to have any issues.

They have 220 volt ac in japan and we have 110 volt ac.
The computer you buy these days works on both so the only thing you have to worry about is the plug for the recepticle. They have round prowns instead of flat like us. You can buy an adaptor
plug almost anywhere to fit. Most hotels have it for the services.

Japan use 100 volt

the above answerer is wrong.
You cannot use any electrical applicances in Japan, if they are made for the rest of the world ( 110 or 220 Volt)

most desk top pc have a switch on the back of the power supply to run either 110 or 220. if equipted with that all you need is to flip it and find the plug to plug it into the wall

voltage is the fast way to determine if it works, the real issue is the # of AMPS. The safest way to ensure it will work is a step up (converter) transformer connected to your surge protector. I know.... I am using mine to type this....
