1. Tylenol
2. Moist heat - hot water soaked handtowel pressed against ear.
3. Sit up to reduce swelling and drain eustachian tube
4. Sudafed or other decongestant orally
5. Mineral oil soaked cotton ball or toilet tissue stuffed in ear
6. Microwaved warmed plate from kitchen dishes pressed against ear.
7. Hot lemon and honey tea orally
8. Drops of garlic oil/basil oil warmed dribbled into ear.

I have complied some of the home remedies for the earache below. Hope this will help your sister.
* Drops of tea tree oil may be effective in reducing the earache
* Use a nasal spray if nose is congested this will help to reduce the earache.
* Take some garlic oil and put 3 drops of grape seed extract in it and then put it in the ear. It will help to relieve the pain in the ear.
* Take Vitamin C to help boost the immune system and fight infection. Zinc reduces ear infection.

An earache may be a sign of a serious infection. If it persists, seek professional diagnosis and treatment. If the ear is draining, do not put anything in it unless medically instructed.
A little warm olive oil in the ear and loosely plug the ear with cotton.

Sorry to hear that. Try and minimize the amount of noise that you have to listen to - that way, your eardrums don't need to vibrate and keep overworking itself. Take some pain killers and make an appointment with a doctor as soon as possible.

Set a hair dryer on low and blow it in her ear for a little while. Be careful not to burn her.

a heating pad or heat a plate in the microwave.. then wrap a towel around it and place it at the ear.
also they say smoke in the ear helps as well... good luck

Its inside her head so you cant relly fight it without perscribed antiobiotics. Just keep it very clean by putting rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) in it a few times a day.
