I have no time to be scared. I'm too busy trying to figure out how I can leave my loved ones without them hurting too much. Live forever? NOW THAT'S A SCARY THOUGHT!!

Of course you don't want to leave you loved ones. None of us do. But there does come a time when we must die. It is the natural order of things.

I was afraid of dying for a really long time. But when I saw many of my friends die around me, it was an awakening. For I had convinced myself into the delusion that I would live forever. Silly, yes, but only for a while. I realized that I too, was mortal, and eventually I would also be gone.

Scared? No, not scared. Just sorry I won't live long enough to do and see all the wondrous things yet to come in this world.

Sometimes, yes, I think it scares everyone a little, but then again whenever I think about my limited time here on earth it makes me motivated to accomplish everything that I want to do in life. I've learned that life is much too short to live with regrets and grudges, and as long as those you love know that you love them, it's all good. I used to be so bitter when I was a teenager, but now that I grew up and I'm out on my own almost married.. this life isn't so bad at all.

The thought does not scare me on the large part, because I'm a Christian, and so I believe that death is only the death of our mortal body (which is decaying from the moment we were born anyway). Our human spirit lives on. What is scary is to be in the outer darkness for 1000 years after one dies (for the believers in Christ who are not overcomers) , and even worse, to be in eternal perdition (for the non-believers).

The thought of dying isn't a scary thought to me; but i am the same. My family is precious to me and I'd hate to have to leave them behind.

no it does not. the body will die and that's factual, but your soul was here before you were conceived, think of it as energy, can't be destroyed, only changed into a higher plane of existence. as far as your loved ones, you will never leave them in spirit and they will never forget your spirit, we are made of more than bones, skin etc.

We all have to leave and be left by our loved ones. It's the circle of life. Don't be afraid.
