Many premier teams attach the sponsors on their jerseys.
For example, the Manchester united attaches AIG logo.
By the way, Which premier teams did attach the sponsors on their jerseys first?
What sponsors? What season? And when that sponsor did end?

Aniala8tor is only partly correct..at the time Coventry arranged sponsorship from Talbot cars, written sponsors logos on shirts were not allowed by the FA, so Coventry came up with the idea of changing their shirt design to actually incorporate the "T" symbol of their sponsors. They got away with wearing this shirt for a whole season, and appeared on TV with it as well. although the BBC were very unhappy with it because it was indirect advertising.

Actual written sponsors names first started to appear on shirts in i982. Liverpool were the first major club to do this , and wore the logo of Crown Paints, although several lower division clubs wore sponsors logos before this..for instance Watford wore the logo of Solvite glue.

I can guarantee you it was Coventry City. They had a sponsorship deal with the makers of Talbot cars,.it was in 1981 and it caused uproar amongst the BBC who were the only channel showing football at the time because of their no advertising policy,so every time Coventry were featured they had to cover the sponsors name, unlike todays mega money deals it was worth approx £50,000 a season.
