No, you have to go to a social security office to get one, or you have to snail mail a request with copies of ids and birth certificates.

yes you can get a replacement but i dont know about online. i had to do so by going into the office with the documents i needed for a new one (got married) with my new name but i dont know about what to do for a replacement without going in the office with id to prove who you say you are without id in hand

New card, same number. The only exception is if you get a new ID from the government such as in the witness protection plan.

no you have to go to the office and take all your info(birth certificate, picture id, etc.) with you. You can't just get one online.. they don't want no one stealing peoples SS#'s.
