My mom is a great mom. She turns 50 next week and I don't know what to get her. Her job is blue-collar so she doesn't wear fancy stuff to work and rarely wears make-up and jewelry. This is a special birthday so I'm not sure what to get her. Any ideas?

If your Mom has a hobby, get something related to that.
Subscriptions to a magazine she likes to read is a gift that gives all year.
My daughter got me a gift certificate to my favorite lunch place, good for a weeks worth of lunches.
If your Mom is like me, she doesn't need trinkets, but something useful is always appreciated. You know, you could also write her a letter and tell her how much you appreciate and love her.
Pictures are always a good thing too. A nice scrapbook of her life, something you put together for her.

It would be a great idea if you go for something like a body massage or something of the sort. or maybe a weekend break in a hotel or a spa.

or maybe if she likes cooking, something for the kitchen. ot something for her bed room.

you can also be a bit creative and if you get her the spa or massage, put it into a card you can make. today there are loads of stuff on the market where you can buy all sort of things for cards.

well what are her interests, she is your mom you should notice some things that she is into. i bet she would still enjoy a complete spa package from head to toe pampering if she has been in a blue collar job her whole life. who wouldnt enjoy having people wait on you hand and foot all day?

Write her a letter and tell her all the things she means to you. Thank her for all she has done for you and mention little things that happened in your life where she helped you. Also, mention funny things and reasons you admire her.

This means more than material things.

Then take her out to dinner (you pay).

This age, she doesn't like your guide, such as ticket to some show, somewhere, restaurant. she has her own delight you can not know. all yr assumption may not get to the point. so..the best is pay her how much you want to spend for her and say pls do whatever you want. she probably buy gift with yr money to someone (i.e yr brother, priest, teacher...) but let her do whatever she likes. so you will please her heart than her necessity.

A pair of Diamond (original) studded hear rings will be the best and she can't see it with her eyes but she will think about you whenever she stands infront of the mirror!!!
