Our brain is continuously evolving. Hence, the genetic code of the human race is continuously getting updated and altered. These changes takes place very slowly and we may not be able to observe these changes throughout our lifetime.
Every living being on earth is endowed with a system ( a software ) which enables it to survive and multiply. In this process, certain living species, have evolved more through thinking. It is an automatic natural process.
Even if we do not want to think, we are having some thoughts in our mind as it is a natural process. Our mental software is that much developed now to work on its own without any "on" and "off" switches. However, the best human beings are able to make this auto process as "manual". The most superior people in the universe are able to control their thinking. This is precisely what was practised by Indian sages.

Have you seen Urang Utans joining branches on the top of a tree with full of leaves so that it can sleep over it safely. It is not by its own thinking. Nature has given this. But have you seen Gorilla preying on other type of monkeys for food? If you watch you can see that they think and plan to reach the target which is sitting in a big tree quickly. Other animals do the same way. Here they think and change positions etc. to reach the target. Therefore thinking is a such a superb function the brain of animal or human does which we also do it. It much depends how one thinks and analyse various pros and cons on the subject which is given as a gift to human. Am I correct? I would like to know your comments too.

Thinking is one of the prime functions of brain. Whenever the brain is not busy receiving signals or giving signals to the various parts of the body, it relapses into its prime function of thinking during those idle times. Thinking is also activated by every signal received but that causes reactions. Idle time thinking makes one proactive and anticipative or in other words the really brainy people find more time to indulge in idle thinking. Most inventions are the result of this idle thinking!! It is this idle thinking which truly determines the personality of people ..... otherwise reflex thinking is almost identical and mechanical in all of us!!!

Constantly in motion, whether the eyes be awake or asleep, we think because of the image of God within us......

Had not the body this ability to reason, we would just be in the shape of a man made from something of the ground.....

We think..... we are.....alive....

well, nobody can answer WHY humans think...

but as for WE, the living humans of today, we think because our ancestors started to think, and as a result, they survived against the terrible odds of nature.
