it has always been a scenario between the two of us.....you know my friend is beautiful and i'm not....but i'm smart and she's dumb.....i'm serious while she's a flirt.....and the guy that concerns my problem seems to like me instead of my friend so my great friend tries her best to seduce him!!!!what am i going to do?

handle yourself like you always do and be the lady that you are. your friend should not be doing this to you if she realizes the man has chosen you. if the man is smart he'll see what she is doing. but you keep your class about you. don't stoop to her level. and i would think about getting another friend this isn't a competition.
if the shoe was on the other foot and he liked her you would'n't go behind her back would you? ..
who liked this man first by the way you or your friend. who ever is first if the man has picked you instead of her . i would pull her aside one day quietly and tell her and ask her if it would be okay you don't want to hurt her feelings if she wants him but also the man doesn't want her so she's wasting her time but still tell her the truth so she wont' think your stealing him be upfront and honest with her. if she is a friend she will want you to be happy too. but may hurt her you may both have to find someone else

at this rate, both of you will not be friends any longer. would you rather repair your friendship or get a guy friend but gain an enemy as well? it's not worth it for friends to fight over the same guy, because the friendship will have a lot of friction--bitterness, misunderstandings, and superficiality...
the choice is yours:
1. talk to your friend and both of you come to a compromise, that may mean both of you quit entertaining that guy.
2. go for the guy, and become enemies with your friend.

it seems that you guys are already competing with each other-is a guy-who will be temporary-really worth tainting a good frienship-if i were u-i would talk with ur friend and get it straight-whether or not u like him and if she does or not either. The best thing to do is get the story straight between u and ur friend-and see if this guy is really worth it.

she doesn't sound like a very good friend. she should understand that you like him and he likes you and let you be together. if i were you, i would talk to her about it and let her know how you feel and also talk to the guy. see if he really does like you. if he does, you have nothing to worry about. let your friend try to "seduce him", but it wont work if he really likes you. if she keeps trying, lose her. find some friends that will respect you and your feelings. good luck!
