A group of linked webpages, usually on the same topic. Let's say that A,B,C,D, and E are part of a web ring. A's web page will link to B's, and B's will link to C's, and C's will link to D's, and D's will link to E's, and E will link back to A.

You can clink through and go around in "circles." Hence the "ring" part. :)

a group of simular sites. usually they have a link to the webring to connect you to them. if it's ad based it's just a loop of spam.
