In India i had heard many people using this. May be that they mean to put in wooden coffin.. that whatever they say was true and if it was wrong he would be prepared for so...

But some people to claim legitimacy of their statement especially during family wrangles..they say.. touching the food....

Some people touch the child's head.

Many people lie and take god's names too.
