Ur question is very intersting.Becz of ur shyness u have only 1 friend.Ur attitude towards Friendship is very good tht u only make those person ur friend who want to stay with u forever.C friend wht i think abt ur answer is tht try to discover new friends . Donot be shy.Keep in mind Nothing comes frm Nothing.So remove ur shyness. Meet new person. If u find any true friend ( as u like ) Then make him or her IM too.

I know exactly how you feel, don't care about what the other person said about getting a life. She should seriously get her own, being so inconsiderate. Anyway, you could ask some of your friends or just people you have only just known for their IM addresses. They won't refuse and it's easy to talk online! Even if you're shy~ Trust me! (I'm shy too but I talk away like I'm so bubbly when I'm online cuz you don't see the other person and you just say whatever you feel like! :)

I'll simply add some more friends. You know, it's okay for you to have more friends to IM with even if you're shy. After all, it's just an instant message. You don't really have to talk to that perdon face to face. It's kind of fun & quick. Just give it a try.

Invite others to IM you like your doing now, or mention in your profile that your lookiing to make new online friends. I suggest you start a 360, thats a great way to meet new people on here.
