It's proven that children are getting smarter and smarter. It's not an anomaly. Your future kids will probably be smarter than you. But make a note that IQ tests have been criticized because of what they are testing you in. There's the notion of cultural capital involved. Lastly, you might want to question who's or what knowledge is superior and determines your level of IQ.

Perhaps 13 or so years ago there was a student, a student who was VERY proud of himself because of how SMART he was.

And maybe this young man worked his way through grad school as ...a milkman.

well your IQ doesnt really have anything to do with genetics-it has to do with how much you have learned in your life so its very possible and normal
