If you mean the Windows Firewall, then click Start at the bottom , then Control Panel. When the Control Panel opens and displays all the various icons, click Windows Firewall and when it opens, click the button near the small red shield. .... If your control Panel shows Category View, switch to Classic View. You can also get to the firewall settings through the Security Center.... By the way it is safer to have the firewall on, unless you have another firewall in your anti virus program.

Man, Windows Firewall of XP is CRAP! Vista Windows Firewall rules! Get Windows Vista RC now or wait 3 months to have the final.

go to control pannel and then to security. it should take you to a place where you can turn off the firewall
