It was reported to be pretty accurate. Bella was, eventually, a hard core addict who spun into ruin.

Hollywood always needs visionary who extreme views through the camera pushes the fold of creatvitiy. As for Bella, it was nice to give a person a job who was all washed up in Hollywood. Bella was an old drug addict at the time and was a couple seconds away from being a bum on skid row. How can we have Dracula on the Streets? No one would be safe.

I was shocked to learn that Bella Lugosi was a Morphine/Demerol addict...........if the movie is accurate. In the movie Bella was buried in his Dracula costume and that is accurate.

I think that movie was hilarious. I doubt if you could call it an accurate account. It was more like a spoof on his life.
