Not unless you believe in immaculate infection....

Um, you're going to have go give me a lot more specifics. Are you and your partner male or female? I'd assume you are one or the other, since this is the gay section, but you never know. Neither do you say what illness you have, or what the symptoms are.

If you weren't infected and your partner wasn't, but you somehow got an illness, then chances are one of you is lying and was infected, even if he/she didn't have any symptoms when you had sex. You don't have to have symptoms to be infected; it's called being a carrier of disease. I'd seriously check into your partner's sexual activity, or re-check your own.

Now, some infections may be completely due to natural causes that have nothing to do with sexual transmission, and a lot of straight, monogamous men get flak from their wives when all of the sudden these infections naturally flair up and make it seem like they cheated and brought home a hooker's disease. But this is something I can't say unless I knew what the symptoms were, and it's rare anyways, so I'd once again, start looking at your partner to figure out what happened.

Hope you get things cured!

No. If you only have sex with each other or others who are not infected neither of you will get infected from the sex, however since there are other ways to get infected with HIV for example either of you could get infected in another way and then the other one of you would get infected with HIV from the first.

You could get HIV infection from a blood transfusion if the blood you got was infected with HIV. IV drug use can cause infection if the persons blood in the syringe you use had HIV. If someone splashed HIV infected blood on you and your skin where the blood landed was broken in anyway you could get infected with HIV. Understand the germ theory?

one of you is lieing. You don't get a sexually transmitted disease unless someone gave it to you. By the way, if you haven't had tests, how do you know you aren't infected if you've had sex with someone else. there aren't any obvious symptoms for weeks or months after being infected.

No as long as the system stays closed. Once you introduce a new sexual partner in the mix...then you open you and your partner to the risk of the new guys complete network of sexual partners.
