Stairway to Heaven was originally not a blues song really. It was done by Led Zeppelin, lead singer was Robert Plant, and the band was mosty considered at the time to be heavy metal or hardrock according to who was listening to them. The album is great, I hope you have a chance to listen to it in its entirety! Alos, there was a Led Zep movie made called "The Song Remains The Same" which I managed to record and occasionally watch again, its interesting to view as it kind of a story without a storyline yet somehow seems to have a storyline, and concert footage. But then we were all stoned in the 70s too..hahaha

Stairway to Heaven was written by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin. They were the original recording artists.

Other famous versions include by Rolf Harris.
