How do I tell the Diff between a Goth and an EMO?

Hmm...for the real goth information go to goth.net. I don't think I could give you a comprehensive explanation here. Wikipedia surely has some entries for 'emo'. Well, good luck. P.S. thank you for not accepting stereotypes! :)

If you're talking about teen goths & emos, there's not much of a difference, since they're both just kids looking for thier identity and trying to be something they're not. For adults (although there are not many adult emos) the difference seems to stem from their world views. While goths see all the pain & death in the world and deal with it through music, art, and humor, emos' pain steams from more personal matters, and they feed off of that pain. Put in brief terms: Goths have extroverted pain, emos have intoverted pain. But you'd have to check with an adult emo to confirm that . . . if you can find one.

Well, for one you won't soon find a goth crying in public or crying at all for that matter,or whining about how hard their life has been, emo's do it all the time,emo's have basically hijacked the goth look,but they are like the diet coke of goth,emo's are pu*s*sies,goths are not. A goth also doesn't listen to this crap these emo's call "punk",such as my chemical romance,blink 182 or sum41,if they listen to punk at all ,it's the misfits,sex pistols or dead kennedy's. Generally,goths prefer Death metal or thrash metal. Goths wear black as a way to stand out, emo's wear black as a way to look more like goths. Goths tend to be anti-social and stand-offish because they are superior in intellect to those around them,if emo's are anti-social it's because noone wants to sit around and listen to them cry on themselves all day.

You should already be stompin' some emo a*s*s for making goths look bad.I f you hate metal, what do you listen to? Christian rock? Inspirational books on tape? thats kind of hard since everyone's view on these stereotypes is different and they are closely related but...
goths are usually worship satan or practice witchcraft [wicca]
emos are usually athiest [having no religion] or depending on your definition, christian
goths are usually just dressed in all black [including hair], or the occasional blood red item, and vary in how much they weigh
emos tend to wear tight fitting clothes, black rimmed glasses, chucks [converse all-star shoes], carry around messenger bags with band pins on them, and are generally anorexically skinny [especially if they are vegan]
