Yes, there are ports on the side of the wii for Gamecube controllers. Being backwards compatible and all.

There is even a gamecube controller adapter for the Wiimote, however I am not sure on it's release ETA.

YES!! I've even heard that the Gamecube controllers can be used for Virtual Console Games

yeah there r 4 gamecube coontroller slots on the top
