A baby is a big responsibility. You should try taking care of someone elses baby for several hours at a time and see what it is like. There is so many things that you have not had a chance to do yet. Why have a baby now. You have plenty of time to have a baby later. Besides it is better if you can provide the best life for that baby. This is easier to do if you take the time to get an education and find a guy who will want to be with you and help you raise a child. In the mean time, try writing down all the things you would like to accomplish in life and see if having a baby now would help you get where you want to be.

It's only natural to want to have a baby. You need to get some things done before you have a child. FIRST, graduate from high school!! Second, graduate from college with at least a two year degree. Third, find a job in your career choice. Fourth, find the perfect man to marry, get married and have babies TOGETHER! Having a baby without a husband makes it extremely difficult for not only YOU but for the baby. How would you ever support a child (and yourself) without an adequate income and it's father?

If you want a baby at 17 without a job and NO husband, you are setting youself up for failure. There are married couples out there with children that work two jobs and are barely making it. It takes A LOT of money to take care of a baby!! It's takes more than money to raise a child!!

Go out and do other things you want to do before starting a family. There is so much out there to do..........and you can have kids, generally through your 40s......what is the hurry? (and you are still a child yourself)!!!

Wait. Having a baby at this time of your life would be incredibly difficult. My mom had me when she was 19, and it sucked for her. She never got to go to college, she had to take a job just because it paid well, and she was on welfare for a while because you just don't get the good jobs at that age. Also, she'd have to stay at home with me and my brother while her friends were out partying.

If you really think you want a baby, why don't you try test-driving one? Do you know anyone with a little one? I'm sure they'd love a babysitter. If you take the kid for a few days, you'll get to deal with all the nasty stuff that comes up, like 3 am feedings. It will help you decide if you're truly ready. But, really, I honestly think you should wait, at least until you've got a place of your own and a job whose income would support two people. In that way at least, babies are like puppies. Don't get one unless you can take care of it.

I am 42 yrs old and have 4 babies...ages 20-2 yrs old. You don't know what you are getting into until the baby is here. Raising children is a 24/7 job for every mother on this earth!!! It is up to the mom to take care of her child until she dies. The dad can always "leave" and society sees that as "ok", but not the mom. It is the most difficult job in the world. At 17 yrs old, you are not ready for sex let alone a baby. I would advise you to not have a baby alone! Wait for the man who loves you and respects you enough to be there for you and your children for the rest of your lives. Wait!

Masturbating to porn and having sex with one's wife are two very different activities. They are in no way related. Nor is having sex with another person than one's spouse in any way related to the spousal relationship. But I'm assuming you'd really go ballistic if that happened. Women don't understand men and porn. Ignore it. Every man does it to some extent. It doesn't mean he doesn't love you. Or if he does not love you, it isn't because of the porn. Oh, and there is no chemical involved with porn so it's not really an addiciton. One just uses that word to further demonize a harmless recreational outlet. You are letting stuff get to you when there may be no real problem. Mono is rough, and can leave you feeling out of sorts and prone to be ill-tempered. I was no picnic to be around when I was recovering.

My advice is to finish school and wait. A child is a lifelong responsibility, not a 5-minute whim. Think of all the fun you'll miss out on if you get pregnant now! Your friends will be out and having fun, while you have to stay home and breastfeed! Raising children is a beautiful thing, but don't start now. Children should be seen as a blessing, not a curse or regret.

Wait for some more time baby. To take care of the needs of a baby is not a joke. You should plan when you are capable of doing justice to the child and also to your body.

I'm 16 and I've been feeling it too. But the truth is, in today's society, neither one of us has any business reproducing right now. Just wait- it'll pass with time. Wait until you're a little older, have a future planned out and in progress, and are in a loving, committed relationship. These things are necessary to both you and your child's comfort and happiness.

the right time to have a baby is when you are financially stable, you have a good job, a good husband and your own roof over your head (not your parents). just wait it out until you get older and your boyfriend will have a less chance of leaving you to be a single mom.
